3D Editor

Mark a location with a Bookmark

Create a spatial bookmark from the toolbar or directly from a scene surface.

Before you start

Open a workspace scene in the 3D Editor.

Who can do this

Members with Editor access. Editing actions depend on your role and the shared view permissions.

Steps

  1. In the main scene, choose Bookmark in the Editor mode toolbar. Alternatively, right-click a scene surface and choose Tag Location.
  2. Enter the title, description, and any required metadata in the bookmark dialog.
  3. For the toolbar action, place the marker at the intended 3D location. Tag Location uses the point you clicked.
  4. Find the new bookmark or POI in the Outliner and save. Open it to work inside its own view.

What you should see

A named location marker is available in the scene and Outliner.

If something goes wrong

  • If Tag Location does not appear, click a visible scene surface rather than empty background.
  • A bookmark may be restricted by your role or by an active POI editing scope.
