3D Editor
Use Editor keyboard shortcuts
Open the command palette, focus panel searches, and switch transform tools quickly.
Before you start
Open a workspace scene in the 3D Editor.
Who can do this
Members with Editor access. Editing actions depend on your role and the shared view permissions.
Steps
- Click the Editor viewport or a panel outside a text field.
- Press Ctrl+K on Windows or Cmd+K on macOS to open the command palette and search for a tool.
- Use O for Outliner search, I for Inspector search, or B for Assets search. Use Space to focus the camera on the selected object.
- Use Q, E, R, and T for Handle, Translate, Rotate, and Scale. Press ? to show the shortcuts dialog.
What you should see
The requested Editor tool or panel becomes active without navigating through menus.
If something goes wrong
- Shortcuts do not take over while you type in a field; leave the field first.
- The P performance telemetry shortcut is only available in local development builds.
